Jackson Hole Moose Hockey - Event Medical Standby
Overview
This role is first aid support only. Providers will operate strictly at a non-EMS level and will not function under EMT or paramedic scope for this event.
Role Overview
Provide on-site first aid support for players, staff, and spectators
Assist with basic injury care including bleeding control, ice, splinting, and wound care
Monitor for injuries requiring higher care and activate 911 when indicated
Support scene coordination until local EMS arrives
Maintain a professional, discreet presence in a fast-paced sports environment
Important Scope Notes
No EMS care, BLS, or ALS services
No medications, oxygen, or invasive procedures
No medical diagnosis or treatment
Providers are acting as event first aid attendants
Requirements
Current credentialed Elara Medial provider
Ability to remain calm and professional in an athletic environment
Strong communication and judgment skills
Comfortable working independently within a limited scope
Pay
$151.25 per game
2.75 HRS @ 55$/HR

7:15 PM - 10:00 PM
January 1st to March 14th 2026

Event Listing Format
Each event date will be listed with the following format:

Backup: Open
Status Definitions
OPEN*
Indicates the shift is available and providers may submit a request to work. A provider has not yet been selected.
Primary
The confirmed provider for the event. This position is paid at a rate of $55/HR.
Backup Positions
Backup #1 (On-Call)
Backup #1 is an on-call position and receives a $35 flat on-call stipend for the event.
Providers who accept this role are expected to remain available for the event window and respond if activated.
If the Primary provider is unable to work, Backup #1 will be promoted to the Primary (paid) role and compensated at the standard Primary rate for the event.
Backup #2 is an unpaid standby position.
If the Primary provider cancels and Backup #1 is promoted to Primary, Backup #2 will be moved into the Backup #1 position and become eligible for the on-call stipend.
Additional backup requests beyond Backup #2 will be contacted in the order requests are received if coverage needs to be filled.
Selection & Confirmation
All requests are reviewed by Elara Medical operations and providers are generally selected on a first come first serve basis.
Providers will be notified by email if selected as “Primary” or “Backup”
Providers will also be notified of their position on the “backup” list
Do not assume assignment until you receive confirmation.
Upon confirmation you will receive further operating guidelines, instructions, and protocols for the event.
